While Indonesia’s vast waters face rising challenges, from over fishing to shifting weather, a team of engineers is working behind the scenes to make the oceans safer and more sustainable.

Across the archipelago, the Technical Team at CLS Indonesia is turning satellite technology into real-world impact, protecting marine life, supporting safer navigation, and driving a stronger blue economy.

Ery Ragaputra, Supriyadi, Yayan Sopian, Ajie Fadlie Sofyan, Wilis Nurul Fikri, and Dadan Romadhoni form the heart of this mission. They bridge the gap between ocean and technology, transforming complex data into tools that help vessels communicate, fleets operate smarter, and coastal communities grow sustainably.

Building Reliable Connections

For CLS Indonesia’s engineers, satellite communication isn’t just technology, it’s part of everyday life. Their mission is to keep communication reliable and secure across Indonesia’s vast maritime zones.

To make that happen, the team focuses on:

  • Signal Interference: Detecting and minimizing disruptions that can affect data transmission.

  • Bandwidth Management: Balancing network capacity to ensure stable, efficient communication.

  • Hardware Performance: Installing, calibrating, and maintaining equipment that stands up to harsh marine conditions.

Over the years, they’ve deployed thousands of beacons, antennas, and monitoring systems across the country. Each installation is a story of precision, teamwork, and perseverance, often completed under challenging conditions at sea.

Because of their work, fishermen, fleets, and maritime agencies can stay connected, informed, and safe wherever they operate.

Technology Meets Sustainability

A highlight of their work is live vessel engine monitoring, which lets clients track their fleets in real time. From setup to maintenance, the team guarantees consistent, reliable service, the kind that keeps Indonesia’s maritime operations running smoothly and safely.

Ery Ragaputra, a long-time member of the team, has seen CLS Indonesia evolve.

“Working here for 11 years, I can say our approach to combining technology with sustainability is truly unique,” he says. “We integrate innovation with environmental responsibility, enhancing connectivity while helping clients reduce their carbon footprint.”

This philosophy reflects CLS Indonesia’s broader mission: to advance technology without losing sight of the planet’s health. Every antenna calibrated and every system optimized contributes to more sustainable practices at sea.

A Commitment Beyond the Job

Behind the tools and data, there’s a shared sense of purpose. The Technical Team’s work directly contributes to protecting Indonesia’s rich biodiversity and supporting coastal communities.

For these engineers, it’s more than a job. It’s a commitment to the oceans that sustain millions of lives. As CLS Indonesia continues to grow, its team remains at the core, quietly shaping a safer, smarter, and more sustainable future, one satellite connection at a time.
